What else to do on your honeymoon?

Having got married in England on Sept 30 we flew to Limassol, Cyprus on Oct 1 from Heathrow at 6am the following morning. Whereas airport security showed no interest in the radio that I was carrying, they ignored the power supply Meg was carrying and spent 5 minutes examining her (wedding) shoes!

Equipment: IC735 and 90' wire for HF hung across roof. Dipole for 6m. Having forgotten to pack the antenna supports, the reaction of the local shop when the honeymoon couple came in asking for rope had to be seen to be believed!

The middle weekend of the honeymoon was spent doing a side trip to Jerusalem. Self guided tour of the old city first day (which resulted in a grilling by security staff at the airport when leaving), guided tour the other 2 days. After surviving eating in an interesting arabic restaurant, and the oldest chinese restaurant in Israel, all 21 of the tour group got struck down with food poisoning just before the end of the trip after eating at a tourist hotel! This severely curtailed operation during the second week!
